Unused Free Trial Restart
An eligible FairTicks Free Trial can receive one additional 7-day restart after its original trial period expires, provided that no position has ever been opened on that account.
The restart exists for genuine non-use. If you received a Free Trial but never opened a position before it expired, FairTicks can give that same account one additional 7-day testing period.
Restart in one sentence
Original Free Trial: 7 days. If it expires without ever opening a position, the same account may be eligible for one final 7-day restart.
Current standard lifecycle
| Stage | Duration | Can another period follow? |
|---|---|---|
| Original Free Trial | 7 days | Yes, but only through the one-time unused-trial restart if eligible. |
| Unused-trial restart | 7 additional days | No. The standard restart allowance has then been used. |
Under the current standard configuration, one Free Trial account can have: the original 7-day period plus one eligible 7-day restart.
Eligibility conditions
The restart is available only when all required conditions are satisfied.
| Condition | Current standard requirement |
|---|---|
| Account type | Must be a Free Trial Training account. |
| Trial period | The Free Trial expiration must have been reached. |
| Eligible account status |
The backend lifecycle must still be compatible with
the unused-trial restart,
including the supported
ACTIVE
or
EXPIRED
state where applicable.
|
| Position history | No position may ever have been created. |
| Previous restart | The one-time restart must not already have been used. |
| Restart duration | 7 days from the restart. |
| User eligibility | The user must not be blocked from the action. |
| Template | The relevant Free Trial template must still be available. |
The Free Trial is considered used once any position is created. It does not matter whether that position is closed immediately, makes profit, makes a loss, or remains open only briefly.
What counts as an unused Free Trial?
For this restart, unused means that no position was ever opened on the Free Trial account.
Simply exploring the FairTicks platform does not use the trial by itself.
| Action | Does it remove unused-trial restart eligibility? |
|---|---|
| Log in | No |
| View the trading workspace | No |
| View charts or markets | No |
| Review Account Snapshot | No |
| Review Risk Monitor | No |
| Change Trader Settings | No |
| Open the position-entry interface | No, provided no position is actually created. |
| Open one simulated position | Yes |
A closed position still means the trial was used
Restart eligibility does not depend on whether a position is currently open.
It depends on whether a position ever existed on that Free Trial account.
You open one NANO position.
You close it 40 seconds later.
Your Free Trial later expires.
Result: unused-trial restart is not available, because a position was created.
What the restart does
When an eligible restart is processed, the same Free Trial account receives another testing period.
- The same Free Trial account is reactivated.
- A new 7-day period begins.
- The restart is recorded as used.
- The Free Trial remains a simulated trial account.
- The account's active trial state is refreshed according to the applicable Free Trial configuration.
Restarting does not create a second Free Trial account. It reactivates the same eligible account.
What the restart does not do
- It does not create another Free Trial account.
- It does not create a paid Training Account.
- It does not convert the Free Trial into Qualified.
- It does not create payout eligibility.
- It does not create a second restart allowance.
- It does not repair a breached Free Trial.
- It does not restore eligibility after a position has already been opened.
Free Trial creation limit vs restart limit
These are two different controls.
| Control | Current standard rule | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Free Trial creation | 1 creation per eligible Free Trial type | You cannot repeatedly create new Free Trial accounts of the same eligible type. |
| Unused-trial restart | 1 restart on that eligible account | The same unused account can receive one additional 7-day period. |
You do not get two new Free Trial creations and two restarts. The current standard structure is: one creation per eligible trial type plus one eligible restart of that same unused account.
Maximum total time from one unused Free Trial
Original Free Trial: 7 days
One unused-trial restart: +7 days
Maximum total testing periods: 2
Maximum total scheduled trial time if both periods are used: 14 days
The second 7-day period is not automatic. The account must satisfy the restart eligibility rules.
Free Trial purpose
Free Trials exist to help traders test the FairTicks environment before purchasing a full Training Account.
Depending on the available configuration, you can use the trial to explore:
- the trading interface;
- available simulated markets;
- NANO, MICRO, and MINI contracts;
- position-entry and management tools;
- the DOM / trading controls;
- Risk Monitor;
- Account Snapshot; and
- the general FairTicks rule experience.
A Free Trial cannot generate a Qualified Account and cannot create payout eligibility, regardless of the trading result achieved during the trial.
When the Restart action can appear
| Free Trial state | Restart availability |
|---|---|
| Original 7-day period still running | Not available yet. |
| Expiration reached, no position ever opened, restart unused | Can be available if all other checks pass. |
| Expiration reached, but at least one position was opened | Not available. |
| Free Trial is breached | Not available through the unused-trial restart. |
| One restart already used | Not available again. |
| Non-Free-Trial account | Not applicable. |
What happens after the restart is used?
Once the one-time restart has been processed, the account receives its second 7-day trial period.
After that second period ends, the standard unused-trial restart is no longer available on that account.
The standard Free Trial lifecycle does not allow the same unused account to be restarted repeatedly.
What if I still do not trade after the restart?
The account can still expire unused again, but the one-time restart allowance has already been consumed.
Original Free Trial expires unused.
One 7-day restart is granted.
You still open no positions.
The restarted period expires.
Result: no second restart is available under the current standard rule.
Restart vs Training Reset
| Lifecycle action | Used for | Current purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Unused Free Trial Restart | Eligible expired unused Free Trial | Gives the same account one additional 7-day testing period. |
| Paid Training Reset | Eligible breached paid Training Account | Creates a fresh Training attempt under the paid reset rules. |
| Discipline Free Reset | Eligible breached Discipline Training Account | Creates the special one-time Discipline reset attempt with its documented lifecycle consequences. |
The Free Trial restart is its own lifecycle action. It does not use the paid-reset counter or the Discipline Free Reset rule.
Why restart can be unavailable
| Possible reason | Explanation |
|---|---|
| A position was created | The Free Trial is no longer considered unused. |
| The original trial has not expired | Restart is not available while the current testing period is still active. |
| The trial breached | The unused-trial restart does not repair a breached Free Trial. |
| Restart already used | Only one standard unused-trial restart is available per eligible account. |
| Account is not a Free Trial | A different lifecycle applies. |
| User-level restriction | The restart can be unavailable if the user is blocked from the action. |
| Required template unavailable | The account cannot be safely restarted from the expected Free Trial configuration. |
| Account state requires review | The dashboard or support team may need to review an inconsistent lifecycle state. |
Common mistakes to avoid
| Mistake | Correct understanding |
|---|---|
| Thinking the same Free Trial can be restarted twice | Current standard rule: one restart. |
| Thinking there can be three 7-day periods | Maximum standard lifecycle: original 7 days plus one 7-day restart. |
| Thinking a closed position means unused | The trial became used when the position was created. |
| Thinking Free Trial creation is unlimited | Current standard rule allows one creation per eligible Free Trial type. |
| Confusing creation and restart limits | They are separate: one creation per type and one eligible restart of that account. |
| Thinking restart creates payout eligibility | Free Trials never create payout eligibility. |
| Thinking restart can convert the account to Qualified | A restarted Free Trial remains a Free Trial. |
| Thinking a breached trial can use unused restart | The unused-trial restart is not a breach recovery action. |
| Thinking the trial lasts three days | Current standard Free Trial validity is 7 days. |

Summary
An eligible unused Free Trial begins with 7 days. If that period expires and no position has ever been created, the same account can receive one additional 7-day restart.
Current standard limits are:
- 1 Free Trial creation per eligible type;
- 1 unused-trial restart per eligible account;
- 7 days per period;
- maximum 2 periods on the same account;
- no position may ever have been created before the restart; and
- Free Trial remains ineligible for payout and Qualified generation.
If your original 7-day Free Trial expires without ever opening a position, the same account may receive one final 7-day restart.
The restart protects genuine non-use, not poor performance.
If no position was ever created, one additional 7-day period may be available. Once you trade, or once that restart has been used, the standard unused-trial restart is no longer available.
Restart Free Trial not showing?
Check whether the original trial has expired, whether any position was ever created, whether the one-time restart has already been used, and whether the account is still eligible. If something appears incorrect, contact FairTicks Support with your account number and relevant screenshots.
