Account statuses

Your FairTicks account moves through a clear set of statuses. Each status affects what you can and cannot do from the dashboard. This page explains the statuses you may see, what they mean, and which actions may be available.

Why statuses matter

Your account status is the first thing to check when an action is unavailable. Some actions can also be blocked by eligibility rules, such as KYC, open positions, payout conditions, reset limits, extension windows, account type, or risk rules.

All FairTicks account statuses

Status What it means UI label
ACTIVE The account is active and follows its normal lifecycle. Trading may be available if the market and account rules allow it. “Active” or “Live active”
COOLDOWN A temporary protection pause is active. New exposure is blocked, but closing existing positions remains available. “Protection pause”
PASSED The Training account has met the required passing conditions. It can move toward Live account generation. “Passed”
LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED The Training account has already produced its linked Live account. The Training account is locked and cannot generate another Live account. “Live created”
BREACHED A risk rule was breached. Trading is permanently disabled on this account unless a reset is available and completed. “Breached”
FROZEN Trading is paused by FairTicks admin or system control for review, compliance, or operational reasons. “Trading paused”
EXPIRED The Training account validity period ended before the account was passed. “Expired”
INACTIVE The account is no longer active due to inactivity or lifecycle rules. Check the account timeline for context. “Inactive”
CLOSED The account lifecycle has ended. Trading and product actions are no longer available. “Closed”

Status by status — what you can do

ACTIVE — normal account state

ACTIVE means the account is currently usable, but each action still depends on the account type, market state, risk rules, and eligibility conditions.

  • Open and close positions ✅ if trading is available and account rules allow it
  • Use reverse trade ✅ only if reverse trade is enabled on your account model
  • Use stop loss according to your account model rules ✅
  • Extension ✅ only for eligible Training accounts within the extension rules
  • Reset ❌ not available while the account is active
  • Payout ✅ only on eligible Live accounts and only when all payout conditions are met
Important

An account can be ACTIVE while a specific button is still disabled. For example, payout can be unavailable because of KYC, open positions, minimum Live/Straight account days, minimum trading days, NP Score, consistency, wallet validation, or pending payout status.

COOLDOWN — Protection pause

COOLDOWN is a temporary protection pause triggered when the account reaches a critical near-breach level and the account uses the protection-pause mode.

  • Close existing positions ✅
  • Open new positions ❌
  • Reverse trade ❌ because it would open new exposure
  • Request payout ❌ if open positions still exist or payout conditions are not met

Cooldown normally lasts 10 minutes. When the pause ends, the account can return to ACTIVE if no other blocking condition applies.

During cooldown

The protection pause is designed to prevent emotional overtrading near a breach. You can still reduce risk by closing existing positions, but you cannot add new exposure during the pause.

PASSED — evaluation passed

PASSED means the Training account has met the required passing conditions. The account can then move toward Live account generation.

  • The Training account has completed its required passing path ✅
  • Live account generation can be processed from this Training account ✅
  • Once the Live account is created, the Training account moves to LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED
  • A passed Training account cannot generate unlimited Live accounts ❌
Important

Passing a Training account does not mean instant payout. Payouts are only available on eligible Live accounts after all payout conditions are met.

LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED — Live account created

LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED means this Training account has already produced its linked Live account.

  • Trading on this Training account is closed ❌
  • The linked Live account becomes the account to trade ✅
  • This Training account cannot generate another Live account ❌
  • If the account came from a bundle, bundle rules may prevent other accounts in the same bundle from generating another Live account
Example

If a Training account passes and generates a Live account, the Training account becomes LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED. You should continue from the linked Live account, not from the completed Training account.

BREACHED — risk rule breached

BREACHED means an official FairTicks risk rule was breached. Once a breach is confirmed, trading is disabled on that account.

  • Opening new positions ❌
  • Adding exposure ❌
  • Payout ❌
  • Extension ❌ unless the account is eligible under extension rules
  • Paid reset ✅ only if the account is eligible
  • Free reset ✅ only if the account meets the free reset conditions

When a breach is confirmed, FairTicks disables trading and system-closes open positions using the official settlement engine.

Important

A breached account does not automatically become active again. It can only return to active status through an eligible reset or another FairTicks-approved lifecycle action.

FROZEN — trading paused by FairTicks

FROZEN means trading is paused by FairTicks admin or system control. This can happen for review, compliance, operational, or account-protection reasons.

  • Opening new positions ❌
  • Adding exposure ❌
  • Some account actions may be unavailable ❌
  • The trader cannot unfreeze the account directly ❌

If you do not understand why your account is frozen, contact support and include your account number and relevant context.

EXPIRED — validity period ended

EXPIRED applies to Training accounts when the validity period ends before the account is passed.

  • Trading is disabled ❌
  • Payout is not available ❌
  • Extension may be available if the account is eligible ✅
  • When an expired Training account is extended, extension days are counted from the extension date
  • Reset is not available directly on expired accounts unless the account first becomes eligible again under the reset rules
Example

If your Training account expires today and you buy an eligible extension, the new validity period starts from the extension date, not from the old expiration date.

INACTIVE — inactive account

INACTIVE means the account is no longer active due to inactivity or lifecycle rules.

  • Trading is disabled ❌
  • Product actions may be unavailable ❌
  • The account timeline should be checked for context

A Demo account may become inactive after a long period without trading activity. If you believe the account should still be active, contact support.

CLOSED — lifecycle ended

CLOSED means the account lifecycle has ended. This is different from LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED, which is used when a Training account successfully produced a Live account.

  • Trading is disabled ❌
  • Reset and extension are generally unavailable ❌
  • Payout is unavailable unless a separate FairTicks review determines otherwise
  • If you believe the account was closed incorrectly, contact support

Status transitions you may see

ACTIVEPASSEDLIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED

After Live generation, you continue on the linked Live account.

Live account path

ACTIVE → payout eligibility checks → payout request → continued Live trading, if the account remains in good standing.

Breach + reset path

ACTIVEBREACHED → eligible reset completed → ACTIVE

Near-breach protection path

ACTIVE → critical near-breach → COOLDOWN → pause ends → ACTIVE

Expiration recovery path

ACTIVEEXPIRED → eligible extension completed → ACTIVE

What about Live accounts?

Live accounts use the same status system, but they do not follow the same lifecycle as Training accounts. Live accounts do not have an expiration date and do not become EXPIRED.

A Live account can still become BREACHED, FROZEN, COOLDOWN, or CLOSED depending on risk rules, review status, or lifecycle decisions.

Training vs Live

Training accounts are used to complete the evaluation path. Live accounts are used after successful Live generation and follow Live-specific rules such as payout eligibility, KYC, and no expiration.

Common questions

“Why is my trading button disabled?”

Trading is usually available only when the account is ACTIVE or PASSED, and when no other blocking condition applies. Check your account banner, timeline, and the action message shown in the dashboard.

“My account is ACTIVE. Why is payout still unavailable?”

Account status is only one part of payout eligibility. Payout can also require KYC approval, no open positions, minimum Live/Straight account days, minimum trading days, NP Score, consistency, minimum eligible profit, wallet validation, and no pending payout request.

“What is the difference between Cooldown and Frozen?”

COOLDOWN is an automatic temporary protection pause triggered near a breach. It normally ends automatically. FROZEN is a FairTicks-controlled pause used for review, compliance, or operational reasons, and cannot be removed by the trader.

“Can a Live account expire?”

No. Live accounts do not have an expiration date. However, they can still be breached, frozen, paused, or closed depending on the account state.

“Can a breached account become active again?”

Yes, but only if the account is eligible for a reset and the reset is completed. See the Reset accounts article for the detailed rules.

“Why did my Training account become LIVE_ACCOUNT_GENERATED?”

This means the Training account has already created its linked Live account. The Training account is now locked because one Training account can only generate one Live account.

“Why did my Demo account become inactive?”

A Demo account may become inactive after a long period without trading activity. Check your account timeline for the exact context. If you believe this is incorrect, contact support.

Key takeaway

Your account status explains the lifecycle. Eligibility rules explain the action.

Always check both: the account status and the specific action requirements shown in the dashboard.
