Markets on FairTicks
This page lists every market currently tradable on FairTicks, with its official tick size and transparency metrics computed by the FairTicks calibration engine. The data below is refreshed automatically every day — no marketing numbers, just the real configuration your account trades against.
Most firms hide how their markets are configured. FairTicks publishes it. Every metric on this page comes from the same calibration reports our own risk team uses — computed from 30 days of real 1-minute market history.
How to read this page
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Tick size | The official price step of the market on FairTicks. Every price move is measured in these ticks, and your contracts (NANO / MICRO / MINI) define how much each tick is worth. |
| Velocity | How fast the market typically moves, classified from Very slow to Extreme based on its 1-minute and 5-minute tick ranges. |
| Beginner safety | A 0–100 score of how forgiving the market is for a trader at high exposure. Higher is safer. Low scores mean a single violent minute can consume a large part of a loss budget. |

These metrics are informational transparency data, not trading advice. Market availability, logical ticks, and configuration can change. Your FairTicks dashboard is always the official reference for what you can trade and under which rules.
Understanding velocity
| Velocity | Typical behavior | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| VERY SLOW | Price barely moves minute to minute. | Patience required — very few tick opportunities. |
| SLOW | Calm, steady movement. | Comfortable for careful, structured trading. |
| MEDIUM | Regular tick activity in both directions. | Balanced opportunity and risk for most traders. |
| HIGH | Fast moves; several ticks can print in seconds. | Respect your Stop Loss and exposure — moves punish hesitation. |
| VERY HIGH | Aggressive swings, large 1-minute ranges. | Experienced traders only. Small exposure is your friend. |
| EXTREME | Violent, unpredictable bursts. | A single minute can consume a large part of a loss budget. |
Common questions
“How often is this data updated?”
The FairTicks calibration engine analyzes every active market once per day using real 1-minute market history. The date in the Calibrated column shows the last analysis for each market.
“Does a low beginner safety score mean I should avoid the market?”
Not necessarily. It means the market moves enough that high exposure is dangerous — especially against the Daily Loss and Trailing Drawdown floors. Experienced traders handle these markets with smaller contracts and disciplined stops.
“Why does the logical tick differ from the exchange tick?”
FairTicks quantizes raw market prices into logical ticks so PnL is deterministic and every account is measured identically. Read Contracts System to see how tick value and contracts work together.
“Are wins really capped but not losses?”
Yes — gains are capped per second per market (max ticks won per second), while losses are never capped. This asymmetry is documented and part of the FairTicks framework. It is one of the reasons the volatility metrics above matter.
Summary
FairTicks publishes its market configuration because informed traders make better decisions. Check a market's velocity and volatility before trading it, size your contracts accordingly, and remember that risk floors apply the same on a slow market and an extreme one.
Know how a market moves before you trade it — the data is right here, refreshed every day.
Volatility is not the enemy — surprise is.
Every market here is measured and published so nothing surprises you. Match your contracts and exposure to the market's real behavior.
